WELCOME TO KANAGAWA
Kanagawa is the neighboring prefecture to Tokyo. From Yokohama Station in central Kanagawa, it takes about 25 minutes to reach Tokyo Station and about 30 minutes to Haneda Airport, offering excellent transportation access.Many luxury hotels are located in the center of Yokohama City.
Kanagawa is also a major tourist destination, with attractions such as Minato Mirai, Yokohama Chinatown, Kamakura, Shonan, and Hakone. It is home to the professional baseball team Yokohama DeNA BayStars, and hosts some of the largest stadiums, arenas, and educational and cultural facilities in Japan.
The local food scene is another attraction—Yokohama is nationally famous as the birthplace of “Iekei Ramen,” a unique and rich style of ramen (Japanese noodle dish).
Within the prefecture, major road infrastructure such as the Shin-Tomei Expressway and the Ken-O Expressway is under development, and further growth is expected in the coming years.
