WELCOME TO Saitama
Saitama Prefecture borders Tokyo Prefecture directly to the north. It is a popular residential area for commuters to Tokyo, due to its convenient location and affordable real estate prices.
Agriculture flourishes in the northern part of Saitama. To the west it contains the Chichibu mountain range with its abundant natural environs.
Among the landmarks of Saitama are “The Saitama New Urban Center”, “The Railway Museum”, “Saitama Super Arena” and “Koedo(Little Edo)-Kawagoe”.

Saitama is also home to a lot of shopping malls and a number of logistics facilities, both of which have been increasing.

The total population is 7.34 million. Ranking Saitama as the 5th most populous prefecture behind Tokyo, Kanagawa, Osaka and Aichi.
With Tokyo, Kanagawa and Chiba, it represents a huge market in a metropolitan area which at approximately 40 million in population represents 1/3 of the population of Japan.
There are extensive rail transport links including 24 railways in addition to 5 high speed “Shinkansen” (bullet-train) lines. As for road transportation, there are 5 expressways serving Saitama.
