WELCOME TO Ishikawa

Ishikawa Prefecture, located on the west coast of Japan, is a treasure trove of culture, history, and natural beauty. Its capital, Kanazawa, is famous for Kenrokuen, one of Japan’s top three gardens, and well-preserved samurai and geisha districts like Higashi Chaya. Visitors can experience traditional crafts such as gold leaf application and Kaga Yuzen silk dyeing.

The Noto Peninsula offers stunning coastal scenery, fresh seafood, and unique experiences like the Wajima Morning Market and Senmaida Rice Terraces. Meanwhile, Kaga Onsen is home to luxurious hot spring resorts, perfect for relaxation. Ishikawa is also known for its refined cuisine, including fresh sushi, Noto wagyu, and local sake.

Kanazawa was the only city in East Asia selected for National Geographic’s “25 Best Travel Destinations for 2025.”
